Although there are no formal ties as such, the Presbyterian Church in America  is perhaps the closest of all presbyterian churches around the world to the PCV in theology and practice, and there has been significant cross fertilisation of personnel and teaching between the Presbyterian Theological College in Melbourne and the Reformed Theological Seminary which trains PCA ministers

The 'Subordinate Standard' of the PCV and most other Presbyterian or Reformed churches around the world is the Westminster Confession of Faith, which can be found together with a range of other important documents at www.reformed.org .
